International platform for direct, reciprocal and cooperative exchanges between artists, designers and theorists working in the field of visual arts.
ORIGINS OF THE PROJECT
In 2022, France counted 329,345 artists for only 223 visual arts residencies.
Faced with these access limitations, many initiatives have emerged independently among artists.
Artistswap was created in this context, stemming from a self-organized reciprocal exchange experience in Newcastle upon Tyne, and now offers a framework for direct, peer-to-peer exchange.

Artistswap enables the exchange of housing, studios, and work time between peers, both locally and internationally.
These mobilities are self-organized, with no selection or commission, based on mutual agreements between registered members.
